Honored Veteran Burt Puckett

His Story

Burt wanted to present this to the organization in remembrance of the operation that was conducted in Afghanistan at Objective Rat and Objective Weasel, to date known as the biggest cache ever found in Afghanistan in August of 2003. This operation was the impetus for the destruction of Al-Qaeda forces in and around the Orgun Valley, Paktika Province, all the way up to the Gardez Pass. This operation included the entirety of Alpha Company 3rd Battalion, the 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, elements from mortars, as well as elements of the Air Force, and Navy. This operation concluded with three casualties, to whom he dedicates this piece.
